A broad range of career opportunities
exist for the professional aesthetician, from employment in
spas, salons and health to product representatives or skin
consultants working conjunction with dermatologist.
The entrepreneurial aesthetician is
often self-employed or employed on a consultant basis.
Some specific careers are: aesthetician,
manicurist, pedicurist, nail technician, salon/spa
management.

day spas opening daily throughout the U.S. and Canada.
Aesthetics is a great career if you are attracted by the opportunity
to work in a peaceful, aesthetically pleasing environment while at
the same time enjoying the benefits of wide-open career
opportunities.
The industry is growing so rapidly that spas
are finding it difficult to maintain adequate qualified
staffing. Many people are flocking tot he industry with little
or no prior experience causing frustration for both the employer and
the employee. The talent pool for knowledgeable spa
professionals is being spread far too thin. For this reason
highly trained Spa Trainers graduates are able to take their pick of
boundless employment opportunities.

challenging but at the same time exciting. You must be
prepared to be dedicated to your studies. Students are trained
to be organized, self directed and efficient skin care
professionals.

and fluent in the basics of aesthetics. That with out
this degree of training you will find yourself struggling to
reach the level necessary for great success and you will be
left having to learn the basics on your won as you begin your
career.
The best part of the STIA
program is completing your practical Practicum at Just For You Day Spa or a Spa in your
area. STIA is the only program
that offers the student the opportunity to work and learn in an
operating spa. This will give you the advantage needed to
accelerate in your career. This job experience on your
resume will attract the top employers or give you the edge to open
your own spa.
When you complete the Spa Trainers Institute of
Aesthetics diploma program you will be well
prepared to start your career, armed with the confidence and
understanding that you have gained over the 1200-hour
